Our planet feeds 7 billion people right now and human population increases with two people every next second, 200 000 people every day, almost 80 million people a year. Throughout this expansion people take up ever increasing area of our planet and wild animals lose their habitats. But there is a part of the human kinship which is inextricably related to wild animals. These people are making efforts to keep what is still existent. Since they are gathered in large organizations, they protect wild animals and their territories, because their passion for hunting makes them part of the endangered species. In “Safari Season” we will introduce you to the problems experienced by hunters. Together we will travel around the globe in the search for an answer to the question on how hunting impacts wild animals and their habitats’ preservation. We will find out where, when, what and how hunters could go hunting for around the world. We will learn the basic ethic rules of sportsmanship hunting and will see hunters’ ethical behaviour towards the animals being hunted. You will see with your own eyes how trophy hunting could renew almost extinct animal species and at the same time how hunting prohibition contributes for the extinction of whole populations of wild animals and their habitats in some states. Our travel around the world will take us to 30 states on 6 continents. This is just a small part of the opportunities available to us today, but it will be the beginning of an unforgettable trip at exotic places and territories unspoilt by human civilization. An adventure where every of you would be able to accompany us over the next hour.
Every journey, even a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And our first step will be with Safari Season on the Safari Channel.
